ok.

So use my thread and tomorrow post your bankroll as of March 1st and I'll do the same.

Should we compare our bankrolls on a daily basis (or weekly) or maybe just on the Ides for the entertainment of all or should we surprise everyone on April 1st?

I'm torn between weekly and at the end of the month. Daily is tardo.

I like this.

We can move up and that tho right? I mean I'm not gonna take my bankroll to 100nl, double up and say haha i beat you or anything. Within the spirit of the grind/bet but my BRM will be slightly more aggressive than yours :)

The ideal would be end of month as I would think you woudn't want to alter your style of play for a desired outcome. I think maybe if we did post weekly it be a springboard for conversation. Also, it could determine the volume of hands you may wish to play. After all if you are comfortably beating me no sense in killing yourself needlessly.

Not sure what kind of volume you play weekly but I am about 12k hands/ week these days.

I would say to make it meaningful we should both stay at 5nl for the month, the exception being if your bankroll drops below what you need to play 5nl and you had to drop down to 2nl. In the event that should happen i think that would be a forfeit.

So what do you think of these rules?

  • post your bankroll before your 1st session on 3/1
  • Each Sunday at the end of your last session for the day post your bankroll and number of hands played for the week.
  • No moving up.
  • Volume not to exceed 15k hands/week. I have a full time job and a family so 15k a week is outer edge for me.
  • At the end of the Month you send me a R/T ticket to LHR and we do a pub tour of London together.
is this acceptable?

You'd tear me up volume wise if you chose to do so. I currently play 6 tables of 6-max.

I've played 10k hands this month. Part of this is a fun way to get me to play more hands and move up.

I like weekly with some discussions about where we are and how we're feeling.

Think a new thread would be cool or just keep it in yours?

Haha, I don't actually but the funny thing is, I'm exactly the type of person you don't want to put money against. Motivation like that and I doubt anything could stop me from winning. Sadly I don't have spare cash to bet atm. Poor student obv.

My thread is fine unless Thor (I mean WV) suggests otherwise.

The no moving up rule is bleh. I plan on moving up around $130-$150 which obvs means march.

Everything else seems cool.

Anyways I'm off to my parents for tonight/tomorrow so the grind will start there.

I basically want to grind more, cause I want to take maney and move up. I've played 11k hands this month which is disgusting and spent most of the 6k hands at 5nl breaking even which sucks.

This is a fun way of doing it but it's cool if you don't want to. No money involved or anything just makes it a bit more interesting and might help us both.

Haha, I never doubted that, another place I want to hit up at some point. One of my house mates next year is from the north east somewhere (I should know where).

Manchester is awesome though, I love the place and always will

Best month ever 1k + with rakeback.

That redline though actually upsets me as pathetic as it sounds. It's just all that money that I seemed to burn off. Around 29k or w.e. I read this very good 6max pdf thing but pretty much over emphasised what it was trying to tell me and ended become a weak tight tagfish. I've run every filter under the son and that's my conclusion anyway.

Next month going iPoker because of stupid rb like 60%. Hopefully it's as soft a FTP.

GL everyone for march :)

Oh man it was great. The sushi, that is. As far as the actual date, we had a lot of fun but I had zero desire to take it any further. Just wasn't feeling it. It's cool to have standards, I think it's a sign of maturity. Either that or I've caught the gay bug. <3
