Hi Folks,
A couple of days ago I made a post, and Swingro helped identify that my PFR was adrift.
I would raise pre flop when it was my turn, but mainly call if I had a hand.
I thought about what Swingro said, and read up, and now I have brought up my PFR by reraising.
It's had quite a radical effect on my game, it's early days but so far:
* I am really assessing the hands more, and calling less.
* The money I save on bad calls more than pays for the PFR's I now make.
* I am entering the flop in much better condition, and my 3 betting is getting much more successful.
* I am still losing some hands, (sometimes bigger pots than I am used to losing) , but when I do lose it seems easier to identify my mistakes as I enter the flop in better shape.
* When I do win a hand, I feel I understand my play better.
* I am not getting drawn in to big all in's, I may lose a number of bb's but I find I can eject early out of the hand if it doesn't go right, if I do go all in I seem to be winning more often.
* I do notice my stack is a lot more dynamic, swings up and down more, I feel much less stressed when it happens. (not sure if this is good or bad..)
Anyway, it's early days, but I just wanted to point out that Swingro identified a pretty big error in my pre flop play, and his suggestion has had an immediate affect.
Cheers Swingro !
