This looks very useful for those players wishing to optimize there hourly win rate. Helps make the cash/tournament decision easier if you have the stats.

I posted a link in the Poker Software & Tools forum which has the link so you can download the Excel file from google docs. No bs, no sign up, just click and download 100% free.

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/pok...ournament-winrate-calculator-100-free-227041/

After I created this program, a lot of players were "shocked" to discover what their actual winrates are. Because of this program, I no longer play MTTs that are less than $200 buy-in with fields less than 150 because my cash game winrate is higher. So basically, I now only play tournaments in which my winrate for the tournament exceeds my 2/5nl winrate

I love to participate in tournaments, and advise you. The main thing for me is the equivalent prize, then I feel good. And the rest of the players, too, do not get nervous. This brings me to a stable income.

This depends. If you're playing one table, then yes. If you're multi-tabling more than four tables, I would say you need a much bigger bankroll for 5NL. Plus on Stars, you can buy in 2NL and 5NL for 250BBs which is something you should take advantage of.

hi anthony, if you are in a downswing the best sometimes is not play for a while, do other things, sometimes the best is not think in poker, not play not anything, because with the downswing you can enter on a tilt mode and lost a good amount of your bankroll. If you want push the game and continue to play, play micro levels, or maybe play money just for ensure that your bankroll is safe. Sometimes a break is best. :)

I think this is maybe the best advices of all, but it is the hardest to take to you. Sometimes I feel that I need a break, but I just dont get it. I want to play poker...! :p

Hi there guys
I am on a downswing and want to change to cash games.
I know there are downswings in cash too but can u make a profit
in cash games when on a downswing??

I have played cash before but it is boring to play 0.01/0.02
and i play to much hands. Is there a big dif. between $2nl and $5nl cash??
I find they play very tight in cash games
What strategy's are there for cash games on tight tables where the fish even play tight???
Is cash a flop+ game where tourneys are more pre flop game?

I want to start with $100 bankroll any advice were to start.
What is the best sites to play cash now in april 2013
Any tips and strategy transferring from tourney to cash games?
Thanks alot

Tournament and cash game are totally different.
I'm a tourney player and sometimes I play CG (mainly for points to get in tourneys), but tournament game is much better and much more exciting IMO.
There is one big advantage of CG: you can leave table at any time. So you can get rid of annoying players if you want to. And you can search tables with fish. :)

??

Just how big of a roll are you talking about exactly.

Your winrate is what dictates an ideal bankroll size. Number of tables isn't of much importance.
