Cash games and tournament games have different skill sets. In both games a flush is still a flush, but preflop and post flop play requires a lot more decisions to decide on. For example cash games considers EV. Tournaments you look at ICM more.

I like cash games mainly for the purpose that I can leave at any time I want. I do not usually have the time to play long deep tournaments all day. I also do not like the "hyper" style tournaments where you go in push or fold mode too quickly. It reduces some of the edge and it starts to become pure mathematics instead of poker techniques and tricks.

I much prefer tournaments just because I never seem to play well in ring games. Hyper-turbo sit & gos are my all time favorite though. Very aggressive play.

Well tournaments is mostly hard-work grind but reward is much better than cash games, so if you have patience I would choose tourneys every time.

they are totally different strategies, not to mention that playing cash does not imply the same time of concentration as mtt, the tournaments tend to be long and tedious and you must be attentive 3,4 or 5 hours and in some cases more. In cash tables you can take a break whenever you want. and in terms of earnings if you keep the constant cash it is very productive and in mtt unless you charge in the first positions the figures are not high

Maybe cash games are better suited for your style. Cash games are played completely different to tournament play. I am a tournament player and it's taken me 13 years to become a winning player. Same as heads up this is different too, short handed poker

If I have a proper bankroll then I like to play cash games when the grind of sng/mtts starts to wear on me. But right now I haven't made a deposit(Black Friday Flashbacks) and stuck grinding the micro sng/mtts.

Beginners are better off playing cash games in my opinion because
in a MTT You have to stay absolutely focused for hours...

You often see people in tourneys that lose their focus. They have played
great for 1, 2 or 3 hours and then they throw away the tournament in a few
super weak played hands...

In cash games You can sit-out whenever You like. Once You are sure that
You can keep up your concentration long enough You can start playing MTT.

For those who really like the tournament games better because of the rising
blinds I would suggest to start out with multi table Sit&Gos in the beginning.

better tournaments with buy-ins above $ 10, there at least do not go all in immediately, and there is no chance to lose a lot of money for one bank

I'm more for tournaments. Cash game is fast and brings quick money, but tournaments can be much more interesantig and more money in circulation.

MTT's are more dispersive, but the reward is more significant at a distance, but the cache is more predictable, stable. If you have enough time and money - choose tournaments, it is more interesting and profitable at a distance, but the path to success is much more difficult and you will need more luck :)

Its ironic.... Last week, I wanted to play more tournaments. Since then, I am more an more involved in the cash games. Honestly, its the challenge to adjust, the various factors, that enable me to improve my over all game....
