The awful super-tilt hot tempered player

This is not really a strategy, well it is, but it's an awful one. It's really more personality at an emotional state and lack of self-discipline. Anyways, I want to know who out there still continued to play like this, e.g. you tilt bad after a bad suck out, you go play higher stakes to recover your losses, then if you lose, you play even higher stakes. Hopefully down the line, you win second of first place, and at the end, you still make a profit. Of course, this is a nice way to lose your bankroll. For me, it makes me concentrate more even though I'm in tilt mode, and it has worked for me plenty of times. I also lost my bankroll many times. Just wanting to hear posts of the minority of players who've actually play like a roller coaster, and have had lucky long streaks.

This sounds like a version of that horrible betting system where you double up after a loss, the Martingale or something. Really seriously ill-advised. I think you're lucky not to have lost your whole roll like this.

If you really do steam like that after a bad beat, it's probably best to go be thankful that bad luck decided to crap on you in a $5.50 SNG and not in the form of like, a truck falling on you on the highway or a faulty electrical socket or any of the thousands of ways that shit luck -- which happens every day -- can actually hurt more than your pride.

As advice for getting over that moment when you see red -- and I've been there -- I'd say go play a low-stakes game actually looking for a bad beat, with the intention of laughing it off. Or at least quitting out and taking a short walk.

Chasing losses like this is highly negative EV. It's like stubbing your toe and deciding to punch out a window in frustration.

I dunno, my temper is probably just too bad to ever take poker seriously. I am actually up because I've been fortunate to cash out during key peaks, even though I could have maybe cashed out twice as often. That's why I only play freerolls now. Tonight, I cashed out in three different sites, but I couldn't place in the one table sngs after I won. I am much happier now though, which is more important than money. I probably won't cash out anymore from freeroll playing, but maybe it might help me get more experience, but seriously, I am much happier, then stress is way less now.
