Nothing you can do, you both had top pair, you had him outkicked but he rivered flush. Things like this happens, keep calm and try again.

Perfect response. You should not be discouraged at an outcome that is not in your favor as long as you played the hand right. More times than not, you're golden in that position. Don't be discouraged and don't let it alter your play in the future. These things happen!

Edit: I forgot to mention, a shove like that with a potential flush on the river should make you question what the opponent was playing. A shove like that on the river would have me singing the flush suckout blues and I might have folded.

As soon as someone jams in the micros on the river that just hit it’s 3rd suited You can be almost sure they’ve just hit their flush.

Its best to just accept hes got you beat. Sometimes is tempting to call and we’ve all done it before. If he did happen to be bluffing then good bluff man, now let’s move on to the next hand.

I wouldn't say you played it poorly, it was just inconvenient luck. Happens to the best of us.
