Oh cool. You should check out my new cash game progress thread (or just DM me). I literally just kicked it off. I'm putting a lot of volume on a similar sort of platform, but not the club structure.

will do :D

Paying vig on insurance sucks but I hear you.

I don't really like your line in the second hand. Maybe there's some weird dynamics I'm unaware of, but I don't think villain is going to call this huge river jam with anything that he doesn't just bet/call off himself anyway. So I'd much rather x/jam and hopefully capture some bets from hands that will bet/fold but would never call the jam.

I also think just betting or check raising turn could be pretty reasonable since we hate a LOT of river cards.

He has around pot size left on river since he's short.
Still not lead jamming? In my head he wasn't the bluff jamming river type

Oh my mistake. I'd still tend to default toward checking but it's obv much more reasonable with just pot behind.

I mean it mostly depends if you think he will just auto call off here with like JhX and QhX and if not, if he will bet them.

Ended the day for -$60
Around +$240 for 3days since the downswing
Ran some bad bluffs otherwise would've ended in a positive

I don't think we want to be making it 5x HU even OOP even vs fish tbh. Like our hand doesn't even require a raise really either. A check would be fine imo.

I think your line is pretty good. I might opt to check turn sometimes just because this should be the worst value hand in our range probably, but don't mind it as played.

interesting thought cause I'm 100% raising here with 45s+
Mind I ask why? Don't we want to play a bigger pot with a hand that plays really well?
Also this guy is a passive station

Well a hand "playing really well" is sort of debatable, especially when you are raising to a really bloating size. I think the issue here being that with our size we actually create pots in which high card/strong top pairs matter somewhat more than draws and semibluffing.

That's not to say it's a BAD hand, but I think we should either raise a wider range to a smaller size, or a tighter range to this size. I could be off here, as I haven't done any HU study in a long long time but from OOP I'm not iso-ing the weaker suited connectors because they play just as well in a smaller pot, and don't particularly benefit from playing a bigger one. They also don't really have an equity advantage vs villain's continuing range I don't think.

From a pure equity standpoint, 87s is not "so strong" to warrant NEEDING a raise here, whereas imo I'd want to raise a hand like A7o much more so because when it makes top pair it's generally relatively nutted HU.

Lets call the big triple with mid pair cause I missed my flush & I don't know what to do :D On a serious note we don't block many of His Kx es. I'm not entirely sure this is a good bluff. But he's a station so I expect a lot of mid Ps to be in his range

Well it's officially a downswing month. Still I'm not happy with the way I'm playing even though running under EV. So many spots where I should've gotten away

This has been tough. I feel like I'm jinxing my progress by doing a journal :flute:
Gonna take a break tmrw probs. Watch some run it once vids & read some manga

Yo wat up!
Monthly Recap.

Had my worst downswing ever. I dropped down like 1.2k in a short time.
Recoverey & getting my mental game+confidence back to normal has been super tough.
Somehow managed to recover like $600 in the last couple of days. Quite happy with that.
So ending the month on a loss not including rakeback.
Doesn't matter that much. What matters is the experience & what you learn from it.
While I didn't exactly play good I didn't run good either.

Quite hyped about the upcoming month. There are fireworks going in my brain.

That's rough man. On a downer myself so I feel you. Took a 4-5 day break and already feeling much better and ready to get back to it. If you haven't, you should consider taking a short break just to do some non-poker stuff.

10 Day Update

Quite happy with the month so far. I'm playing well while being mentally happy as well.
Studying only a bit though & taking things a bit slowly. But have been extremely happy with my progress. I'll post the graphs & numbers in the end of the month.

Have moved some action to another club as I planned & it's going pretty well. Probably gonna move to a couple more other clubs as well.

Aside from poker haven't hit the gym in a month (the miserable month of spetember) so that's on my must do list from tmrw on day after onward.
Haven't read much as I wanted. I want to do that.
Also the business things are going pretty slowly but I'm fine with it as long as I have direction.

Meh this post might not be as hyped as the prev ones but I'm really happy with my self that I was last month (specially mentally) so that's what matters :D

So I bagged around 2k profit last month but played very little as possible. In fact didn't play like 15 days or so for the last month.

This month trying to do a way better job of being consistent. Trying to play at least 25 days+.
I know the monthly profit target is achievable by December. I just need to branch out more & put more volume in.

Last month I took a large some out of my BR. 1.6k for investing & around $800 for some pc upgrades. So not really rolled right now for 120NL games. Just grinding 30/60NL games.

Also I have a goal to purchase a car by the end of the month. So the BR is prolly gonna take a hit again.
Something I tried last month did seem to work well tho. I constantly wiithdrew my profits each day or per two days or so. That way I didn't blast away my profits tilting at higher stakes I dropped down & played a bit carefully. Worked extremely well in my favour but obv BR didn't improve.

This month I'm gonna prolly do that again but like a 60% or so. By putting more volume in the withdrawing profits will be similar or more than last month.
