Villain is a weird player...don't know how he got his bigstack, he's running 35/20 after about 25 hands.

Two previous hands against him: Flat-called BB when I raised from SB with KQo, flatted cbet on JTx flop, bet small when KD came on turn (brought 3 to flush), we both checked an Ad river (4 flush to board); I won and he had KK.
Other hand, I raised with 55, he flat-called, board came TT9, I bet, he calls, we check on turn Q, I river 5 for boat, bet, he minraises, I shove, he folds.

What do I do here? Should I bet or fold turn?

I'm big on double-barreling strong draws, but I wouldn't here, because the turn didn't change anything. He's not folding better.

I think a case for betting the river could be made versus many (or even most) villains, but I don't know if this particular opponent is one of them. If you're looking to bet the river, villain has to be somewhat passive. You could potentially bet/call the river, if villain is overly bluffy. Some are passive enough that you could even bet/fold.

But the safe route - and versus someone that you have so few hands on as to be virtually an unknown - is to check/call the river.
