However if the flush comes and you miss, you can use it to bluff your opponents off their sets / two pairs. Whether they believe you is another question, but it has to be worth something to have this option.

With the stack sizes and a non-pairing brick on the turn, can we be priced out of calling? That's what I considered most strongly in making my decision.

Probably not, but I just hate calling off my stack still drawing with only one card to come.

Im with Bombjack on this one. Calling was best play.

Minraising was very bad imo. You said they bet when they have big hands, your minraise just gave that big hand the chance to make you pay more.

ANd it doesnt give you info, you dont need info. You need to hit your straight, and they have beat you now. What kind of info can the minraise give you?
You have the straight draw and no matter what they have, you have 2 hit it. Minraising has no upside, only the downside of letting them reraise.
