I have ------------A,2,4,6
Opponent has----2,4,6,K
Board has---------A,K,3,8,5

Do I have a "Live" Low hand of A,2,3,4,5
My opponent has----------------A,2,3,4,5

My group I play with says My A is paired and therefore can't be used. so Opponent wins the game.
Every site I went to explains that you play the best 5 cards. Your 2 with ANY 3 on the board. You are only encumbered if there are not 3 low cards that do not match your 2. So if you match on the flop, you need a 4th low card to have a qualified low.

Thanks

You're right, your group is wrong. You use the 2 and the 4 from your hand to make your low (A2345). You split the pot - both have A2345 for nut low and the Wheel for high.

I suggest you continue to play with these players as much as possible.
