I could be wrong, but isn't stating/showing your cards like that considered a fold, and if you didn't, because it's online, it would be breaking the rules? Someone please put me on the up-and-up. Never mind the fact that everyone knows everyone else and wouldn't care anyway.

You just got bluffed out of a pot. Calling or folding after that raise wouldn't or doesn't make you a donkey. Just on the losing end of a poker hand. Now if you called with 4 8 off and won the hand, I'd call you a donk.
