9th hand at this table. Table has been loosey-goosey overall. Only player read is Seat 1, a nitty reg who is a below-average post-flop player over 200+ hands.

I'm gonna be OOP with 4 limpers, so I fire $2 into a $1.35 PF pot. But all 4 limpers call!!!

On the flop, I figure someone MUST have an Ace so I check OOP. But no one bets!!!

All I have on the turn is a gutshot. What should I do here?

really I would jus check it if this table is as loose as u say because regardless flop and turn is so some one is bound to call u for w/e reason, so play it safe

Yeah I would just try and check this down, hopefully you'll be able to hit your gutshot on the river. If you miss I wouldnt try bluffing into 4 players or even calling a bet since it's pretty unlikely someone is going to bluff into 4 people that cant beat 10's on this board

That's pretty much what I was going to type. If 4 players were willing to call such a big bet pre-flop, then at least one of them is likely to call post flop if they've got a part of it, and you've got to bet at least $5 here (into $8 pot) to take it down. The hand so far should tell you that you are going to get good opportunities to win a big pot if you DO hit a hand, so check this one down and keep your powder dry for later.

uber standard check against 4 players imo, fold to any bet unless you hit the gutshot, you have zero equity on the turn (well virtually).

Does anyone else just limp this PF? Treat it as a standard set mine

that is an option, and i think it may actually be better than raising as when we raise we end being OOP against some players in a relatively larger than normal p/f pot. + by just calling we keep the pot small and wont be getting over commited if we cal a psb on the flop as we would be if we raise to $2 p/f and then get called by 1 or 2 players.

I tend not to limp TT. Everyone has their setmine/raise threshold and mine is 99. Maybe in this case I should have adjusted that. My thought was to "punish the limpers" and to get hands like Q7s and Q9o to fold, but that didn't work here.

Judging by the responses here, I guess this hand was more standard than I thought. I was getting about 13-1 pot odds on the turn, so I called. I ended up taking the pot, but I thought I played it poorly at first. Seems I was wrong. Thanks to those who responded. (Now look for hand #2 results in the next thread)

Heh, if nothing else, these hands are great for seeing what the rest of the table with limp/call with.

On the flop there's a chance someone is afraid to bet their K because of the ace, then on the turn there's a chance someone is afraid to bet the J because someone has the K and was afraid of the Ace .... so I think check/folding and calling tiny bets is fine.

This threshold is really something you need to adjust to your position. Playing TT post flop OOP is a horrible thing to do unless you flop a set.

I'll set mine up to JJ out of position. I'll raise any pair from button to isolate limpers.

Really? 1st in I'm almost always raising any pair, even UTG. With limpers I'll raise with 99+ (4x+1/limper) even from the blinds.

You seriously just complete the SB with JJ in a pot with a couple limpers in?? Hmm, ur the type of player i was actually having a little trouble with at 25NL b/c i could not put them on JJ+ not raising preflop.
