Now here's the problem; there's a 4-straight on the board, villain probably has a small or medium pair, and if you bet, you scare him away. We do have to make up for the bad drawing odds on the flop though (2.33:1 on a ~5:1 shot) with our implied odds, so we have to bet at sometime.
Often times, players don't believe you when you make a very obvious play. ie check-calling a flop like that, then leading this turn.

Now here's the problem; there's a 4-straight on the board, villain probably has a small or medium pair, and if you bet, you scare him away. We do have to make up for the bad drawing odds on the flop though (2.33:1 on a ~5:1 shot) with our implied odds, so we have to bet at sometime.
Often times, players don't believe you when you make a very obvious play. ie check-calling a flop like that, then leading this turn.
