I think our sizings are good for the whole hand: preflop 2.5x is good for we open many hands from BU, OTF we have lots of equity and personally, as bigger the equity less I need to bet and vice-versa and it is also good for when we get a cooler from a better flush or a better straight. We must play non-nutted hands wisely like you did it.
I also follow the principle that as bigger the hand more we want to stack in, and lesser the hand more we want to bet small and not go for stacks.
In this case if it happens that villain displays a best flush than our, it’s fine, because we haven’t invested that much.
