Stud noob. This is an 8game table. Not using a hud, no stats. Villain has consistently shown a willingness to call pf/3rd street raises w trash hands across all games over roughly 50 hands.

When he paired his door card on fourth, I slowed way down - adding a second pair on sixth, I panicked and went for a cheap sd.

Should I simply keep raising fourth and fifth? How about sixth? I already think checking behind on seventh is criminal.

I'd keep my foot on the gas the whole way. A paired door card when you have one pair vs. a decent opponent is one situation, and this is totally different.

I don't mind flatting 4th, and waiting until 5th to get another raise in. But I'm certainly raising 6th one time.

Also, problem is that these opponents can be crazy passive at times, and if villain flipped over trips, I wouldn't be too surprised. But at that point its a cooler.

when he flats your raise on 5th, I think you have to be willing to raise 6th. You can always flat his 3bet. You're losing too much overall though and he's giving away info on 5th. Players at 0.5/1 are not that tricky. He doesn't have a boat on 6th.
