MP1 bets $0.20??? <---- this is such a weak c/bet.

I can guess that the original raise has missed this board but with 2 more ppl left to act im thinkin i want to protect my hand against OESD/flush draws.
Plus with MP1 jus sat down at the table and auto-posting his BB he mite b eager to play any hand like AK,AQ,AJ or 77+ and lookin for him to re-raise.

Is this correct play or shud i of smooth called and mayb popped on the turn/river if it brings face cards that doesnt complete a flush.

I'm raising here - not for protection, for value. There are a lot of hands that will call a raise - overpairs, straight draws, and combo draws - and I'm delighted to have those hands call. Even if the flush completes on the turn, we will still have 10 outs to a better hand than a flush.

If we absolutely know that none of the other players has any clubs, any pair, nor any straight draw, then smooth calling would make sense, but chances are that at least one of these guys has one of those hands - and if they don't, we're not likely to get more value.

Heck, MP1 may even call w AQ or AK...
