BB: $5.00 (100 bb)
UTG: $3.80 (76 bb)
UTG+1: $6.26 (125.2 bb)
MP: $5.18 (103.6 bb)
MP+1: $6.36 (127.2 bb)
MP+2: $5.00 (100 bb)
Hero (CO): $9.77 (195.4 bb)
BTN: $3.85 (77 bb)
SB: $15.80 (316 bb)

SB posts $0.02, BB posts $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has :qs4: :qd4:
fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.15, MP calls $0.15, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.15, BTN calls $0.15, SB raises to $0.95, fold, UTG+1 raises to $6.26 and is all-in, fold, Hero folds, fold, SB calls $5.31

In previous hands, when UTG+1 has been aggressive, they've usually had it.

I put UTG+1 on AK/KK/AA and folded. If it was just me against SB, I'd 4B and probably jam, but UTG+1's 4B scared me off.

Did I play this right or was I too nitty?

This is a very clear squeeze spot with a strong hand, just calling pre is not the play.

However, once you've arrived like that I think I fold too, you are likely against a strong range from UTG +1 that you don't really want to stack off 120bb, as you will probably only have 40% equity or so v his range, and then you need to worry about the SB too that you are 200bb deep with.

I can see that now. Am I right in thinking that it's still a fold if UTG+1 reraises?

Against most opponents you will probably fold correctly. But in some cases, the opponent’s game statistics can suggest a more correct decision...

It depends on sizing and action, if it folds round and he 4 bets to a normal size then it's a call , e.g. you squeeze to $0.6 and he makes it $1.6 then its a call. Versus an all-in its close and depends what you think of his shoving range (i.e. how much AK verusus AA/KK), but probably a fold at 5nl for 125bb. If the SB calls your squeeze or 4bets then it changes things again.

Short answer, yes. The better question is, why? That's what you need to understand.. why didn't you squeeze in an obvious squeeze spot? If you're read is because UTG usually has hands, consider that unless you have like 10k+ sample on your opponent, you don't know enough about their range to not 3-bet the 3rd strongest starting hand in holdem.

We are not calling this range preflop. This is a fold or 3-bet/squeeze preflop, if we think that villain has KK+ good for it!
