Considering the wide range of this villain we could check and evaluate against a possible of BTN bet. Let's keep in mind that our bluff catcher is pretty fair for this texture. Possibly the closest move is check / fold if Villain decides jam on the river. Otherwise we can get value from failed draws or trips smallers.
Greetings.

I like a check on the flop - but a bet is also fine.

I bet the river, and likely call a raise. Too high up in our range - you block the nut flush as well. Villain doesn't have a ton of 2's (you block A2s). can get value from TT, 9x, 8x, 77, 66, 98

Well, if it was me i would have checked the turn cause the only reason for him to have called the flop is a pair, a set or he hit the deuces so not only you would be able to measure the strength of his hand but you also would demonstrate weakness giving him the opportunity to bluff.

Flopping Aces up in a protected pot with the nut heart blocker is strong enough to go three streets in my opinion. Occasionally V will have 2x, a boat, or a backdoor flush. But many times they will call down with a smaller two pair. I would cbet a little smaller on the flop since V shouldn't have many hands to continue with on the board and may also have more 2x than a standard V given the high VPIP. I don't mind the turn sizing since we block the flush draw but I still may got a bit over 1/2 pot. I would keep it smaller on the river (between 1/3 and 1/2 pot) as well and may fold to a big x/r.

Pretty much agree with this. Its a classic bet-fold spot on the river, where we can still get called by a lot of worse hands, but where we are usually beat, if we get raised. So I prefer a somewhat small river bet like 40% pot, which leave us enough room to fold to a jam.

In this case, I am going broke if villain has a 2, so I actually see the paired board as protection vs his other 2 pairs(specifically 98).

And he's a short stack, so I would jam river.
