There are tons of times to 3-bet 99 and to play J9, but the important part is that you ask yourself why you're doing it. It's the question, not the answer, that's important.

I do understand. I know that a lot of the game is situational and dependent on a variety of factors that are constantly changing with each table you play.

I know there's going to be a lot of frustrating losses and a lot of learning that goes along with them before I start moving up in stakes and progressing. I'm down for it though - whatever it takes. I really fell in love with this game over the past month or so and am glad I discovered it at this point in my life.
