I lean towards 3-betting to avoid playing 99 out of position multiway. Just calling is also ok though. Folding would be way to tight.

Flop
Apparently you flopped an overpair, and then you check-folded. This makes no sense, so maybe it was a misclick? Otherwise then please share your thought process for better feedback :)

With 99, flopping 3 undercards is not a missed flop, it's a great flop. I think folding here with an overpair to a cutoff raise is crazy tight.

i think you made 2 mistakes in this hand

pre, you should have 3-bet...99 is a premium hand 6 handed....don't be shy with it.

flop...you should have led out with your overpair. You get info this way...

The CO maybe/probably made his ace on the river.

on the other hand...if the CO is a donk/fish and had AK-AT, or even A2...and would have called any bet you made, you can call yourself a jedi and pat yourself on the back for saving yourself a buy-in.

This is an extremely nitty fold, the flop is almost ideal for your 99. Dont mind the call pre but you could of considered a 3/bet.
Leading flop could be an option, for protection and to get heads up. Folding being the worst option.

Just to further hammer it home, insanely tight, don't fold your overpair.

Pre flop, call and 3 bet both ok, depending on situation and villain tendencies. With no stats I don't mind the call but in SB 3 bet is a good move, just take the pot down now OOP if you can.

As played I don't mind the lead out either. You are ahead often enough here on the flop but you'll often be behind at showdown as you have a vulnerable hand. So I like showing some aggression with the overpair rather than being passive. The fold is unforgivably tight.
