This player I noticed was 3-betting more than the average, I recall him 3-betting several times in just a few orbits if I recall correctly, 2-orbits in a row he 3-bet my BTN and I seen him squeeze from BTN when I was UTG RFI and a fish called in between wasn't sure what to make of it but I had my suspicions lol.

pokerstars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.01/$0.02 - 6 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG: $1.13 (57 bb)
MP: $3.13 (157 bb)
CO: $2.17 (109 bb)
BU (Hero): $3.60 (180 bb)
SB: $1.47 (74 bb)
BB: $1.92 (96 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BTN with J J
3 players fold, Hero raises to $0.05, 1 fold, BB 3-bets to $0.18, Hero calls $0.13

Flop: ($0.37) 4 8 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.16, BB calls $0.16

Turn: ($0.69) Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($0.69) 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

when he calls flop I'm thinking he has a good Ax that check call, maybe some 66-77, possibly even 99 or TT. OTT when queen comes I think he can certainly have AQ here so I check back. OTR I wasn't too sure what to get value from if I bet, if he had an 8 he's ahead now, if he has a Q he's ahead, although I would expect a queen to most likely bet turn or river. feedback appreciated

If we are leveling with an aggro villain I like 4-bet pre.

I like checking the queen because it connects with some of his range and we can only get 2 streets of value anyway against 99-TT now.

After his double check I would do a small value bet.

I agree with the other post. It's probably not a huge mistake because you are on the button, but as a general rule always choose the aggressive option when exploiting an overly wide range. So 3-bet wider against a wide RFI, 4-bet wider against a loose 3-betting range etc. I would include JJ as a 4-bet against almost any player anyway but against someone that might 3-bet too much it's definitely the play.

P: fine, we could 4bet as said above, but without knowing how villain responds to a 4bet BB vs BU, its fine to flat vs 3bet.

F: bet much bigger to 75-100% pot.

T: as played, fine.

R: fine,
