Hello Cardschat People , im Beazer , im a new player learning poker.

How would you have played this hand ?

I'm sure I made a mess of this hand. Very likely huge Post Flop Mistakes. This was the greatest amount lost in my last poker session.

I seem to be making less mistakes on the turn and river when betting bigger amounts ( That is less mistakes than what i was making last month).

Unfortunately , for this hand, i didn't consider the board texture " danger signs" .

My thought process wasn't focussed on the board texture or putting villian on a range but im learning to do this.

but I don't know so much , how would you have played this hand? Thanks in advance. and big thank you to the players who answered my post from yesterday.

so far i can see my first pre flop mistake is only betting ten cents when i should be maybe PRE FLOP 3 betting my ACES with 3X Small Blind Villian Raise Amount and enjoy the benefits of a correct size 3 bet ) ( either way , im still learning here, how would you have played this hand? ) . thanks Beazer.

You need to 3bet bigger preflop, e.g. to 25c. Flop is ok to check to let people bluff/catch up, but at 2NL v 2 opponents I think you need to cbet. Obviously on the turn shoving is not the play as the only thing that calls beats you, i.e. flushes and maybe sets. Betting small would be ok especially with the ace of hearts or just check
On the river you could fold to big aggression as there is also a 4 to a straight, though if it checks through you probably win.

As StationMaster stated your 3-bet sizing is way too small. Use a 3-bet sizing of 3x when it’s head up. When someone 3-bets and other player calls use 3x + 2 BB for every player that entered into the pot (Squeeze). If you are out of position 3-bet to 4x versus one opponent and 4x + 2 BB for every player that entered into the hand.
On the flop we should be betting 1/3 pot at least. Considering this is NLHE 2, we could be betting 2/3 pot right off the bat. We aren’t betting higher here for we own the ace of hearts, that give us equity for a possible runner-runner nut flush.
On the turn we should bet again but I’m not sure if jamming all the blinds is the best option. We are going to get calls of lots of flushes and pray for another hearts on the river.
We should’ve c-bet flop than bet strong on the turn. If villain shoves we are probably calling, but as played, you are allowing villain to play close to perfection when you should do exactly the opposite.
I would’ve 3-bet preflop to 15-17 BB, and I would’ve c-bet flop to 1/3 or 2/3 pot. OTT I would’ve made a 1/2 pot c-bet. If villain jams I’m in.

Remember that at the micros some players love to chase any flush, professor Anhalt (@John A )calls them “flush chasers”, they are going all-in no matter what with any flush they hit, so take a note upon them and observe showdowns to see players that are seeking flushes.
If villain was a more coherent and thinking player it should never call your jam OTT for villain has only the 4th nut flush! But they don’t think like this, they are merely looking their hole cards and putting chips into the middle.

3-bet way more, you should be going 3xbb + 1bb per limper at least.
You need to bet the flop. Normal sized turn bet, don't just open shove. I know you're new, so it's good you're posting hands.
