Ad5d CO, 100 BB effective in 10 NL, Open raise x2.5, SB calls and BB 3bet to 10.2 BB, I call and SB folds, he 3 barrels push in 6c2s2d 5h 9c.
I call three streets, because i beleive he is bluffing in a board with two cards, I think he would be afraid of the trips, if he would have an overpair, so I he would bet less on the river.

Showdown: He has AsTh
he has semi tight stats preflop (16-15)2024 02 29 05 00 AM 005 010 2315127123

Its cool, that you won the hand, but I think, your hand reading is a bit off. In a 3-bet pot you will hardly ever have a 2 in your hand or for that matter have 43, which turned a straight. So there is no reason, why an overpair should be scared and refrain from betting for value.

Probably best to fold flop, you got lucky on the turn to hit your three outer and even then maybe you should fold a later street.

As mentioned above, I think your reading off this hand is actually way off but it just happened to be one of the times you were right. If villian had JJ+ and expecially KK or AA they would play this hand exactly as they did here. Your play is the same as how a station would play this. Its all good when it works out like it did in this hand but there will be times you run into QQ here and lose it all. Maybe there is something that was left out of your post as to something you know about this villain or you have seen them do this before but to me, without knowing anything more that what you wrote, it seems as you just guessed bluff and were right this time. If the turn was a 4 and not a 5 would you have still called down thinking your ace high was good? Based on the post you wrote it seems like the answer would be yes and you would have lost the hand. Villain is not going to be afraid of 2x here, 34 or even 78 (although 78 suited has some reasonability to it) so they will not slow down on this board with an overpair which was also mentioned above.

1 - This time he could be bluffing, but you just won the hand bacause you hit you 5, without it you was going to lose a big pot aganist another Ahigh.

2 - He probably plays hands like AJ +, 66+ the same way in this spot, evaluate all these hands plus some bluffs and you'll se the bad spot you put yourself into.

3 - With A5s I prefer to 4-bet him and fold.
