One thing that really annoys me in cash games are players that do not pay attention when it's either their turn to act or knowing when they are a blind, especially when they ask in every hand they in if it's their turn or not. How do you deal with someone like this?

If you’re making money off this player, do nothing. I understand it may be annoying but what’s more important to you?

If they are consistently holding up the table then yes 100% annoying. I will admit I have been at fault for not realizing it was my turn because I got caught up in a game that was on TV. Mine is when it's always heads up or 3 people in the pot and the same guy consistently asks how much is in the pot or for the dealer to spread the pot......simple math dude Let's go.

If they are near me I just help them out or tell them. If near me and I’m paying attention like I should be then it becomes second nature to me.

Thank you for posting.

Think about what you are saying. You have a player at your table who is not paying attention to the game but is putting money on the line.

This is my new best friend. I will help him or her out by gently reminding him or her or make a joke about it and then if the poker gods allow take their stack.

You want to play on a table with a bunch of pros that are on top of every action? No thank you.

30 hands an hour I need mistakes on my table lots of them.
Learn to love errors by others.

Hope this helps

You can (politely) remind someone when it's their action, but that is technically the dealer's job.

Also, just realize that this is a part of live poker. Live poker in many ways is FAR softer than online poker, and one reason is that it is a mostly recreational pursuit which for many involves a relaxing, casual escape from the other parts of their lives.

They are not going to play as fast as you want. They will be annoying. They will talk, they will waste time, and they will ogle the ****tail waitresses.

These are all elements of live poker. It's a tradeoff for being the softest form of poker that exists. Decide for yourself if you care to make that trade.

If I see that it bothers you I will absolutely keep doing it...

Another peeve and I just realized it for the poker world. Loud Chewers , Like Open Mouth NOMNOMNOMNOM Chewers , whether its gum or food , If I'm across the goddamn table and can hear you Trying out for a T-rex scene in Jurassic Park then we're going to have an issue. I'm not talking chips crunching either. Or Food Moaners. I mean I love a good Philly but not at the goddamn poker table , I don't need to hear you have an orgasm because they serve snackpacks at the casino.

I was about to say the same thing! Lol I pulled this one a few weeks ago when I was distracted and accross the table a guy said “you could see better without those sunglasses on, maybe you wouldn't take so long!” When really, its live ill take the time I need to make the right decision. Damned if I didnt spend the rest of the night slowing down every hand he was involved in until I busted him.

My pet peeve is people who smell bad at the table. I mean your going to be sitting really close to other people so a shower and deodorant should be prerequisites. This is much more important to me then attention span or speed of play lol.

I let the dealer handle it. It is in the dealer's interest to get more hands out per hour. More tips - more opportunities to hit a bad beat jackpot or other promotion.

As a player I have asked the dealer where the action is and also, "Does seat 4 know it is on him?"

Good luck !

Pet peeve. Saying sorry after winning a hand by making a stupid play/bad decision. They may well be sorry but most of the time there is no actual intent to change their behavior.

in poker you will have to learn how to deal ith all sorts of behaviours...my advice is not to dwell on others behaviors but to control your reaction or its effect on your state of mind....

most players are intentionally acting supid or doing things to tilt players while others are just drunk and genuinly aloof, either way its uo to the player ie you to maintain your on state of mind to keep your game leveled...
