Second, wtf? I imagine that if these spin n gos are anything like Jackpot Poker they *eventually* become shove fests. But he turned it into one super quickly, despite the huge sums on the line. So he FOLDS the 2nd nuts holding 37h on a 4568hh board, meaning he either decided not worth the call to split with another 7 or that he was beat by the only hand better 79. And then basically the very next hand (or maybe two) against the same guy ships it aipf with 67o to the shorter stacks broadway cards (like jk?), spikes the 6 on the turn and holds up. Then almost immediately shoves again aipf with a2o and runs into 44. Does he win with the ace either hitting the ace or a 4 card flush? No, one of the two remaining 4s come to give him the wheel and the victory.
PLEASE do NOT show this to any politician trying to decide on legalizing gambling.
I mean, congrats and everything. But like most Russians I have played with, you basically were just a lucky f***
Thanks for sharing the video and congrats to him. You can't help feeling elated and excited for him and his big win.It was also neat to see that raw emotion play out on video.
I agree with nutcracker above this wasn't exactly a clinic in good poker playing, in fact you could probably post the video in every luck vs. skill thread on the internet , and debunk the theory of skill. Some might argue that this is the exception rather than the rule but I have my doubts.
The straight lay down was unbelievable, I don't think to many people would be pushed off that hand, I guess you could call it a hero lay down but I don't know, it didn't look like his opponent in that hand was showing an over abundance of aggression or anything. The 6-7 pre flop shove was an obvious attempt to steal the blinds ...my question is why? I noticed he was using what looked like a HUD ... so maybe with the information he had he thought he could get away with it ( and then to hit the 6 on the river wow) and then like nutcracker stated above that last hand ...well LOL I guess that's what you call running good. The video and style of play does remind me of many of the European and Russian players I've played against in the past.
Once gain congrats to him that's an awesome score. It leaves me with that feeling of itmust be great to be him and sucks to be me LOL
