Hello World! This is great news for all of us. I will venture to say, taking into mind that September is a new fiscal year for most companies, that in September/October time frame we will see "pokerstars or FoxPoker In Time For Christmas" in the good Ol' US of A. I am excited. Great news!!!

Does this open doors for states that do not have current legislation? I read the article and I could not decipher how this news applied to all. States such as New Jersey has active legislation that allows PokerStars.

A legit company signing a deal with an online poker outfit in the USA definitely will not hurt the future of poker in the USA. Positive exposure may pull some government heads out of their butts & motivate them to serve us by serving themselves, as usual. We ask "What can I do for my country?"; they ask "What is in it for me?"...

I say it will not hurt. :D

It is pure hope for those in the USA that having a Telecommunications company that involved with PokerStars may be just enough to bring more political interests to the table through power lobbying.

We can only hope.

Greed greases the political wagon wheels.

We can only hope.

If it is successful then other states become motivated to get a piece of the money pie as well. Longest journey starts with the first step. Take a look at Washington. They can't even get together on whose turn it is to buy at Burger King. They will let everyone else starve while they take 6 months of breaks each year. Not once have they ever been late voting their own pay raises through.

IMHO there is a special place in hell for politicians. If I end up there then I want the job of shoveling the coal onto the fires they are burning in.

This is just a small positive step of many that will be required to move other states to get involved. We are way beyond any federal intervention on poker's behalf. Trump is at war with China, mexico, South America & North Korea. Before his term is up the stock market will be in the crapper, the economy will be in another GREAT recession & we all might be drafted to fight in several wars just to have food & shelter. :(

Big storm coming.  :(

This is going to become a huge business in US soon enough. Going to be able to bet in real time live or at home. About time! Hopefully it provides some jobs and local revenue too.
