PT4 will do all the heavy work for you when you install it. I assume HEM would do the same.
PokerTracker and Holdem Manager are now owned by the same company and we also own other third party products and services such as CardRunners - but each brand remains autonomous. PokerTracker and Holdem Manager will remain separate applications, there is no plans to merge the two softwares even though our company has merged. We believe the right thing for poker players is to provide choice, the two applications will remain separate so you can pick between the two different workflows. Behind the scenes our teams will be working on some unified projects such as improved websites and server-side solutions but this is primarily only changes that will affect developers and management.... the actual developer teams for PT4 and HM2 remain separate and fairly autonomous.

Our advice is to stop using XP... it is no longer supported by Microsoft, therefore it is a big security risk for any online poker player. We support Windows Vista or greater, but in reality we recommend Windows 7 or greater at this stage. https://www.pokertracker.com/faq/PT4...m_Requirements
PS: Both PokerTracker 4 and Holdem Manager are "Trackers" that include a HUD. The Tracker is the application, the HUD is just one of many features of the Tracker.
