hi there,
I have learned the very basics of hand reading with flopzilla and the more i do with my database of gone to showdown with HM2 and flopzilla the quicker I am getting at working a hand range out, I have been at it now for 2 weeks trying a few hands per night and on average the first week it was taking me @20/30 mins per hand range ,now @ 15/20 mins per hand.
On Friday nights I play a regular live game in a casino £37/£30 re-enty with £3500 gtd which has a good standard of play.
Now I have been playing online and live poker for many years now, I seem to be ahead of the online satellites, but when it comes to online and live tornys I am well behind, now all this time I have like most other players been playing my own hands and not thinking in detail about my opponents hands, this is where I hope someone can give me a helping hand,
I have taken the first steps to try to learn the art of hand reading and I am enjoying trying to learn but I am only of possibly below average intelligence lol and finding I can actually read50/ 70% of the ranges I am studying gives me a massive boost, but it takes me so long to do just 1 hand with flopzilla, now I know I am just starting but trying to put the last 2 weeks work that I have done into practice in my local live game Friday gone was a non starter, 15 mins with flopzilla and 1 minute to do it live seems and was impossible for me,
I can see now that people that can read hands has a massive advantage over the probably 98%of other lower stakes players that cannot, and I my long time goal is to be one of those 2%
So my question is to anyone that has put the time and effort into this is how long before you could play live or online and start to make any kind of progress, I know for a fact my passion for poker will carry me through the learning and studying part of it but I dont know if I have the capacity to take it all in and put into practice with in a 1 minute situation,
I have done my research online with flopzilla hand reading videos these seemed to get me started with the basics but to be truthful a lot of the videos I could not take in
any help or views would be gratefully appreciated
thanks and GL at the tables
