Question about when/how much to value bet. I've been playing a lot of Micro MTTs and found it to be useful to shove with a made hand to make it look as though I'm bluffing. For example:
I was in a tourney with about 100BB and in the BB.
UTG is the SS and min raises, gets two callers and I decided to call 6-3 suited getting a great price.
Flop comes K-4-7 rainbow and it checks around.
Turn brings the 5s and my gin card, I check to check raise and it checks around again. The river brings a blank and I am first to act and decide to push, which is a massive overbet, hoping to get called by the SS, which I do, (QQ).
My question is that I see a lot of people min betting to try to get value for their made hand, but shoving can be a good bet because it looks like a bluff and you will get paid off huge if someone hero calls. Profitable play in the long run?
