What The Duck???
Platinum Level
Hello Chatters!
I just realized a problem I have, after I managed not to tilt.
I get intimidated. I mean after a couple of unlucky hands, especially after a bad beat, I play a timid game, not just tighter and more cautious, but without any confidence at all.
Last night I busted near the bubble of Event#1 of TCOOP against a 4-outter. Today I was playing a $3.30 satellite for TCOOP and I was doing well. I got pocket Kings and reraised 3x, I get shoved and call to see my opponent holding 6s. After he rivered a 6 my stack was crippled, of course I tightened my range and mucked all speculative hands. On top of that I stopped risking, bluffing stealing even calling with decent odds. I fought a lost battle, not even a desperate one like when short-stacked. I kept feeling like already beatten - "if 2-outters beat me, what can I do?"
Scared duck I was and I realized it only too late, turbos don't forgive....
I busted relatively early and thought to raise the topic.
Does this happen to you?
How do you deal with it?
