Phil's Little Green Book is the book I ALWAYS recommend as a first read.
Just take it slow... .Phil covers alot of stuff in that book. It's a great base to work from.
Daniel Negreanu's first two books are pretty easy reads (but they don't cover as much material as Phil's book and nowhere near as good imo.. but still ok reading, especially for a beginner).
I liked the Little Green Book so much that I loaned it out from the library on 3 separate occassions and then when I saw it on sale in a local book store (a bunch of them there on sale due to cover damage on the books), I went & bought 3 copies of it (1 for myself, 2 for presents for friends).
I've read close to 40
poker books now (maybe more.. idk... just ordered up 3 more today and have 3 more after that on my list, lol). Even with reading all of those books, I'd still rank Phil's book as #1 for first-time read.
Maybe (as others suggested) post questions you have about the book here in this thread?? You'll probably get TONS of answers.
