Iíve just recently started playing online again and am thankful I did. I took a break for about 6 years due my career but Iím back at it for a hobby+learning purposes for future live games.
I started with a $20BR and Iím now at $40 only playing micro stakes. My question is what is the best way to build your bankroll in the micro cash game: Zoom or Regular.
I feel like a lot of micro players are a little more loose than they should be in Zoom poker even though you can fast fold. Thus my NIT strategy has worked pretty well. With regular games I can find more consistency with my BR but it also takes longer to build.
Anyone have some good insight on this? My goal is to hit $100 then move up in stakes but Iím not sure which way would be the more efficient route to take.

as you said that are a beginner I recommend you to learn more about bankroll management because is extremely important to know that you need to buy in only 1-2% of your bankroll its a safe strategy that almost all beginners fail to do. if you are playing cash game that the buy in is $2 you need at least 50-100 dollars to play them.
about zoom an cash games. When you are playing zoom you cant use a program record the status of you villain some plays thinks that this is a disadvantage but you can play very standard in this modality because of this luck of information. And Cash games is pretty much the opposite situation.
good luck in your new jorney.

I think it's mostly up to you and you should try both first since it's more of a personal thing what suits best for everyone. I personally don't like Zoom at all. I feel like it's too fast and you can't get to know your enemy that well, not even with HUD. I have always felt like it's the game for impatient players who just want action, action, action and are not willing to wait for it.
In regular cash there's much more room to breathe so to speak and you see your opponents all the time. You get to see what kinds of cards they play even when you are not included in the hand, and that gives you crucial information about them. "Know your enemy."
That's just my own opinion and doesn't mean that Zoom wouldn't be the right choice for someone else so just try it out I tried it as well and it didn't take me long to realize that Zoom is not for me. I feel so much more comfortable in regular cash.
Edit: Oh, I just realized that you have already tried both. If they both feel comfortable, just pick the one that gives you more winnings in the long run. I actually got the impression that you are already doing well in Zoom so why change that? And one more thing: pay attention to your bankroll management, especially in Zoom. $100 might not be enough for climbing up the stakes even though it's already close. I recommend at least 30 buy-ins which means $150 for NL5.
