Now there are always douches that play online that just play for the rush of all-ins. When these guys are going all in every hand. What cards should I call him with. I've gotten screwed a lot with hands like AK because really AK isn't the greatest hand. Even against a hand like 27 the odds aren't that much in your favor. So what should I call with?

I do one of two things. I wait until things calm down, usually this dies off after 15 to 20 minutes from the beginning of the game. (People o not want to sit in a tourney for 3 hours to win $1.50, so they risk it all in the first 5 hands). Also, once the blinds are at level 4 and level 5, the blinds are around 100/200. It slows alot of the allins down by about 75 percent, so respect the all-ins more at that point. Unless I have a quality hand of AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ, and there are no more than 2 callers I won't call an all in the first half hour of play generally speaking.

AK is a 67% favourite over 72o pre-flop. You are rarely going to have more equity than that.
You should definitely be calling this type of player with AK if you think that you can get heads up with him. You'll have to assess the likelihood that the players yet to act behind you will fold, and adjust your calling range accordingly.

Depends of a lot of factors. If it is a big freeroll, I think you should call the all in with a bigger amount of hands (AK, AQ, AJ, AA, KK, QQ, JJ..), because you have to double up fast, or you can wait for higher levels because on these levels, most of the donks already going to be out of the tournament.
In medium-small freerolls, I call all in with only premium hands (AA, KK, QQ, AKs).

Call with ATC because as a smart person (possibly Shakespeare) once said "LOL freerollaments"

I came across a comment from some guy who said he shoves any half decent hand a few times so if he gets to double up once or even twice early on then he has a much better chance to get ITM, rather than ending up playing for a longer amount of time for nothing. Kind of makes sense for some of the bigger freerolls

Pretty much I'm calling with 99+ if its a few allins and JJ+ if its a lot of allins. If I had already doubled up I would not be looking to play bingo as much.

It depends a lot on the freeroll structure too, as already mentioned. If its a public freeroll for a ticket to another freeroll then I don't mind bingoing early with something medium strong like JT suited. If its a smaller private freeroll where top 20% or so get paid a few bucks I will wait for a premium hand.

AA and KK definitely. Why call an all in with anything less? I would rather go all in post flop with a nut or near nut hand, even in a freeroll. It's always fun to stick around and see what happens.

Because as Shakespeare was quoted as saying above, "LOL freerollaments".

If you want to take these things seriously then absolutely call with a tight range. But surely you have to at least include QQ and AK in your calling range - it is a freeroll after all and our villain is apparently open shoving "every hand".

I'd just wait until I get a decent hand AQ AK or bigger pp than 88.

Eventually after a few levels they will have all vanished.

I always get those premium hands and then like 7 other people call so I have to fold kinda sucks you get like AA with 5-6 people already all in.

With AA you still have the bigger odds of winnning, it's just not that easy, if it's a freeroll I'd still take my chances with AA and 3 or 4 people...

A year ago i would had said that freerolls are the way to learn poker and you can make some coins to play with real money. Now i kinda changed my mind a little. Private freerolls with maximum 1 k ppl are worth the time. Public freerolls with thousands of ppl are just a waste of time even if i went out 3 place a mounth ago on a 5000 ppl freeroll cashing like 45 dollars or so. I spent 12 hours going through hell for that with a lot of luck on my side. You learn the ABC of poker but nothing more. Or the ABC you can learn from any poker book.

But surely freerolls can provide a good way to put proper MTT strategy into practice? As mentioned after a short while most of the donks are out so the further you go, the better the average player left is.

Do yourself a favor and don't even be sitting there for the first 3 or 4 orbits. Potty break, or fix a drink, or paint the house, anything, but show some self-restraint the easy way, and just don't be there.

ldo !!!
