Hey guys,
So I decided to learn how to play poker about a week ago, holdem as the primary, although i enjoy PLO aswell, and im having trouble deciding whether or not to invest $100 in a site to try out the micro stakes.
I'm about 1/2 way through Phil gordon's little green book, I understand the game quiet a bit(atleast considering i didn't know what a straight flush was 2 weeks ago). I understand EV, implied odds, position, ect. I find reading other players most difficult, although that's probably a combination with my lack of experience and playing donks in freerolls. Obviously i still have tons to learn.
But my question is, will the micro stakes offer me a an opportunity to use techniques which i can't practice against the players in playmoney/freerolls?
I've played a few thousand hands, and things such as 3-4 betting are extremely rare.
I wan't to expand my understanding of the game and refine techniques, but i don't want to go broke in the process.
