Skrill / Moneybookers cashout experience (to actual cash)
If anyone was curious about withdrawing funds via the cheque option from moneybookers, here's how it went down for me.
To be able to withdraw funds you first need to verify your account through one of the options. I chose the 'address verification' option where they send you a letter in the mail containing a code that you need to input into your account once received. Now this was not an overnight thing, it took over 3 months to receive the letter; I had kind of assumed it wasn't coming by this point but one day it just showed up. I have no idea if this is a standard time or if the letter got lost in the mail and eventually made it to the right place or something. I did email moneybookers after a month of the letter being sent out and they had no desire to re-send it and told me that the address verification might just not work for me and to do one of the other verification options which I did not care to do. I figured what the heck, how would it not work for me, if u sent me a letter I should receive it plain and simple. Moral of the story, I got it.
Having verified my account, I now made a withdrawal. My account is in USD but I live in Canada so the cheque they send is converted to your local currency (CAD). I received the cheque in the mail shockingly fast (about a week) and it came from a TD bank account, a very reputable bank here in Canada. I was pretty impressed by this as I kind of expected a foreign looking cheque from Antigua or something. Went to the bank and they cashed it no problems.
There you have it. Minus the three month wait for the verification letter, a pretty satisfying experience.

MoneyBookers, aka Skrill, is a licensed and regulated UK processing company. They are legit.
I highly suggest you get bank wire sin the future. And get them in USD. I am a US citizen who moved to Canada post Black Friday to further my online poker career. You can avoid all those pesky and sometimes large currency conversions altogether. I get all my funds in USD... I only keep enough CAD to live on.
