$.25 NLHE MTT: calling squeeze shove of 25bbs in ep with 77

Similar concept from last hand I posted, but here I'm the raiser, the player that shoved had loose aggresive stats with that few hands and flat caller can have some suited broadways and lower pairs. Is it too much to risk tho?

Side note - the CO is horrible
And the BTN isn't a whole lot better

Pre-flop
77 is def a standard open here, and with 23BB I like the min-click. I'm also fine with calling off here, and here's why:

Our total UTG range: (77+,ATs+,A5s,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,AQo+) - 116 combo's
Hands we raise (not applicable here I know) - (KK+, AKs, A5s, AQo+) - 44 combo's
Hands we call - (QQ-77, AQs) - 40 combo's
Hands we fold - (AJs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,JTs) - 32 combo's

Now you can see we are a little unbalanced and we call or raise more often than we fold. But we can make up for this by occasionally flatting AKs and similar kinds of things. Also, in this example, we're going to be folding A5s if we opened it at all - whereas normally we would want to bluff 4bet - in other words we have some wiggle room within the bounds of our total range.

However, the point here is that we have 77 and that hand is in our call range all day long - we need to call in order to protect our range and keep us in balance; especially against a pretty obvious squeeze.

Now, all that range talk is one thing, but now let's look at the math:
- We know our range
- CO (99-22,AJs-A8s,KJs+,QJs,AJo-ATo,KJo+,QJo)
- BTN (JJ+,A5s+,KQs,QJs,JTs,T9s,98s,A5o+)

So, we have 41% equity against both and 57% against the button - plugging that all into the spreadsheet and you can see calling off is the correct play.

It's correct for two reasons, balance (or range protection), and EV - well played!
