Alright, this is going to be long, but stick around if you'd like. I'm not sure if this is the best session to analyze, or the worst, simply because my playing was SO poor imo. The most mistakes to find, so I guess it's a very worthwhile analyzation. This took me about 3 and a half hours.
Note: If I say standard, that means "Standard as far as I know" so please feel free to correct ANYTHING.

Against 4 opponents OOP, middle pair with a backdoor straight draw. Betting the flop for information was fine, but I still felt beat by a lot of hands on the turn (now 2 to a flush, plus an overcard and 2 to a straight). I suppose I was going for a free card, it didn't work obv. out of position. River was a king and someone took the pot with pocket kings. Middle pairs is clearly an area that I need work on because I'm never quite sure what to do with them. Usually I bet to thin the field if there's a few opponents and to get info on their hands, but I see a lot of people call to the river with top pair and beat me so I feel like it could be a leak. We'll probably see more of that later.

IMO a great example of my poor play. I should have stopped playing after this hand and taken a look at what happened. Missed the flop, aside from a backdoor flush draw. Not terrible, especially since the flop is semi-ragged, putting 2 to a flush but that's about it, but when the second 9 dropped and there was a bet I should have just folded. Even though it was a big pot already at 12 or 13BB's, I was just beat by so many hands at that point, especially considering I've no longer got the draw, and I'm drawing dead to any 9. Raising there was a poor decision, and calling everything after that was an even worse decision. As stated in the other thread by philthy, I'm having trouble letting go of hands.

I was drawing dead against a queen, although I think I played it more or less correctly, especially seeing as there were only callers. Facing any raise I probably would have folded. However, we see the MIDDLE PAIR problem again, I'm not too sure how to play them (bet/fold to the river seems to be my only strategy here) and I was very lucky to hit the J on the river with this one. But I had a very strong 2 pair, only beaten by a queen, or AA KK, which none of the players seemed to have. Although again these players will limp with AA/KK thinking it's an expert move. Probably someone can comment on my middle pair play in general based on this hand and the one above. I think the difference in this hand is someone was much less likely to hold one of the 2 remaining queens, where in the other hand there were 3 aces out and still possible kings/2 pairs/flush draw on the turn.

He could have been bluffing but considering he was on the BB he could have had almost any possible hand, 73 74 any other 4 7 or 3 which all would have had me beat. Calling would have been a huge mistake.

I had the lowest possible flush on a 4 hearts board against 2 opponents. Standard playing I think, especially after it checked on the river. Usually when it checks to the river and there's a better everyone else folds. I was beat by any heart (not to mention the AJ royal flush ), but I didn't think anyone else had one seeing as it was checked....

TINY pot, backdoor flush draw, but mainly was looking for a set. Didn't hit it, but I bet out anyway (poor choice against 4 opponents imo) and smartly check/folded the turn and river facing defeat to any T, Q, or K, or any pocket pair higher than mine. I'm essentially the master of betting on the flop with nothing to limit the field, even when my hand clearly doesn't warrant it. That seems to be a pretty common misplay on my part.

I liked my play except for the bet flop, which I'm unsure about. Basically it was a matter of staying or going, and if I'm staying I should bet to knock out any people to buy outs. But in retrospect anyone with a king is staying, AND ive got the best kicker for my queen so basically knocking out another queen doesn't matter unless they are Q2/Q9. And if anyone has a king I'm drawing to the 3 aces + the 3rd nuts backdoor flush and straight which are maybe 2 outs together. Bet the flop, check/fold the rest.

Should have raised preflop, relatively strong hand from the BB. Missed the flop completely, except for the double gutshot straight and 2 overcards. The turn gave me the gutshot, so I called (getting 8 to 1, clearly not enough for the gutshot, which was probably my only out at that point, I was likely looking to beat a straight, so I consider this a mistake, even considering implied odds and that I would have had the nuts). Check/fold on the river seems good as played.

Hit top pair with an gutshot straight draw to the second nuts (if someone had AT...). Bet out on the flop seems standard, SHOULD have reraised seeing as I had an absolutely sick hand, but of course I call lol. On the turn I hit my draw, and wanted as much money in the pot as possible, so I bet out. Jack on the river scares me, but I think if he hit two pair (which would make sense since he hit SOMETHING on the flop) on the turn he would have been raising, so I don't think he has a Jack. Even if I checked there I would have called his bet, and Sklansky recommends always betting out if you would call that bet anyway. I wonder about the danger of being check-raised in that situation, I guess at micro limits it's not something I need to worry about, but in a higher limit game I might call it anyhow. With a weaker hand (2 pair or a lower set, 9 or T) I MIGHT consider bet/folding the river but depends on opponent. Nice hand I think, although it's not like anyone could have played this very poorly.

Top pair (marginal) with 3 to a straight (MAYBE 1 out) and a backdoor flush OOP. Should have been an easy check/fold IMO. Betting on the flop was a mistake, but checking the turn and check/folding river were good. Although I will point out that this seems to be a common tactic in A LOT of my playing, a semibluff flop bet to see if I can win the pot right there. Doesn't work nearly as often as would be profitable I think. But I'm always reminding myself to play aggressive, so if I'm continuing in the hand, I'm betting not checking, unless I'm check-raising. I need to learn what kinds flops this tactic is effective on, and what types of hands I should have when trying it, otherwise I should slow down and start check/folding my poorer hands and bet/folding only the hands I have a good chance at winning right then, instead of bet/folding all of them.
