Hi guys played an interesting hand at a 2/5 NL table today and would like some feedback on the way I approached the hand.
One player limps in EP. Hero opens for $30 in LP holding K:club: K:spade:. Villain in the CO calls and everyone else folds.
Starting stacks
Hero: $500
Villain: $500
The Flop comes: J:club: 2:club: 8:spade: $72 in pot
Hero bets $40. Villain calls.
The turn brings an 8:club: $152 in pot Hero???
Villain is extremely loose. He would limp and call any raise with literally any 2 cards. He has showed down T4s in the past and has open raised hands like Q7o and K4o. He is involved in % 90 of pots at the table. He bets strong when he connects whether it be a draw or a made hand.
Now my concern in this hand would be this turn card. It completes the flush and pairs the 8 on the flop which both of the holdings are definitely in villain's range. Would you opt to lead the turn to control the sizing of the pot since villain will most likely bet heavy if checked to on the turn pricing us out of the hand or would you opt to check and hope that villain bets light on the turn? Also leading out on the turn introduces the risk of villain raising our turn bet with his smaller flush or trips.
Thanks in advance for the feedback guys!
