His PFR + 3bet are huge so that ur 88 is a 60-40 fave PF. His AF is quite low tho so i'd just call his flop + turn bet and float the turn or river, hopin it doesnt bring in any scare cards like the A.
That or u could reraise his flop or turn bet charging him to see his A and hopin to take it down there, that or he mite reraise ya with his Ax which would b a call unless u've seen him over play AA/KK this way. :)

I like the reraising his flop bet, I want to charge villain for trying to catch up and hit his Ax.

I just ship it in preflop, or u could fold if u dont like varience, i def dont like calling.

Where not geting set mining odds and overs are gonna hit the board a majority of the time.
He is a maniac and 88 is ahead of his range but where gonna get into a alot of nasty postflop spots where we are gonna get bluffed of our hand, hence i like geting it in or folding prf ;).

As played villain has just over 5$ behind and the pot is 3.70 and we basicly hit the best flop we could with out a 8 in and its only gonna get worse for us on the turn/river.
So yeah i jam here all day.

If you're not willing to get it in on that flop, you should have just folded pre.

At ukaliks, and AF of 3 for a 56/52 guy is amazingly high. He's a certified maniac.

Ok thanks everyone for the advice.

It was almost an auto-shove preflop as well. Chose to just flat call instead might have been better to shove PF.

I ended up shoving on the flop. He called.

This time the maniacs image worked to his advantage and he showed up w/ AA.

I'm not a 6max player so help me out...

Shove on the flop I get...

Pre-flop shove? Really?

Why risk $7 to win $1.35?

Its not 6-max.

It would only be against this player that such a play is considered.
Theres value in shoving because villian will have hands that we beat/crush from time to time. 22-77, most broadways, Ax+, etc.

Of course increases variance though.

Personally I would fold to the 3-bet.

88 is not a hand you want to call and play postflop with because there are so many overcards and this guy is will bet them all.

I dont like 4-betting here either.

1. We dont know that much about his 3-bet range as opposed to his open raising range.

2. He will commit with hands like AJ,AT all PP etc, the AJ,AT type hands are only slight underdogs to 88, of the PP we are literally midway.

I think against an opponent like this there are better spots JJ will likely give him one over-card at most rather than 2, thus making him a significant underdog with 5 cards to come, it also beats most of his PP.

AK,AQ JJ+ I think would be a nice shipping range against this kind of opponent, and I would be expecting him to call more than he folds.

Against opponents like this we are looking to call rather than shove, with a wider range, but a range that makes TPGK so when he barrels 3 streets, we can call him down.
