Do you understand the concept of random? If so please post how you would define random.

Most people mistakenly think that "random" should mean equal distribution on a sample size that is much much too small to truly gauge whether something is random or not. So I just lol at all the "online poker is rigged" comments, like this one.

the great thing about poker is that the hands can be preprogrammed or random or whatever. But make no mistake, they can't force you to play in any hand unless you are the blinds. And the misconception that a site has purposely gone out of its way to make any one person lose is plain dumb. They make their money whether you win or lose. Bad beats are part of the game, that's why it's called gambling. And more often bad plays are why you lost and magically they become a bad beat or a rigged site. So shut up and learn from your mistakes cause until then you will lose alot of money and waste alot of your time. lol

I've decided that I believe there are "patterns" to the cards in some ways, but not in a way that should affect how well players do. These "patterns" don't allow you to predict the cards or anything; I just think the algorithms create chains that you can see. For example, many MANY times I'll be playing several tables and get very similar hands at each one, that kind of thing. It's just the way the program works. I think it's still "random" for all poker-playing purposes.

Nonsense like the OP is based on the fact that most people don't understand random. Human brains don't compute random. Random does not mean "even." It means just the opposite: "clumps."

I've lost over 100 hands in a row more than once. I've had QTo three times in a row. I've had KK three times in 10 hands. Does this prove that the hands are not random? NO. These are normal outcomes over time.
