Hi, is it possible for somebody who is flat broke to amass a fortune by merely playing poker, or do you need to have thousands of dollars to begin with? thanks.
yes, its quite possible like the durr did,
imagine this:
you get some money playing freerolls, then through a satellite you get a ticket for a mtt, you get itm, then a ticket for a bigger mtt and so on and so on,
if you are good there will be a matter of time to hit hard in the tables and get a big prize and therefore you will sum up thousands from 0 in a few weeks,
obviously, the thing is you have to be outstanding, superior, no just avg, or good, but above the others if not you can stay at 0 dreaming big
not much better odds than winning the lottery
are you that stupid or just trolling? you really think the odds of making riches in poker not much better as you say than winning the lottery, first of all what do you consider riches? if you are coming from rags you could argue that even 10k would be rich compared to that but even if you say 100k it is completely possible to accomplish if you fully commit to doing so and have the talent, No it does not take the deck hitting you in the face every game and being lucky actually I am pretty sure no cash game player who came from nothing did so just by luck and if you know one please let me know...The ignorance in you is very high
blob you said as everyone said I for one do not sign up for these type of stupidity realms of running up 0-100k in 2 weeks, and durr did not do this...
Granted you all didn't agree with that persay, but I was pertaining it to the 2nd post in the thread where he says it's possible in weeks. Let me ask you this Bernotas. After all that's been said and done from you in CC, do you really think you are even a semi-intelligent person? Honestly?
I'm not even going to respond to your childish behavior, We don't like each other I think the best for both of us is to stay on opposite ends of the spectrum if you can understand that
Please by all means run up a roll from $0 to $100,000 in weeks. Please go do that.
It's possible but FRUSTRATING!! You have to grind long hours. It will bring you great enjoyment when you win but you'll be borderline suicidal when your hard earned money is lost to a bad beat. All in all, it's better for your mental health to earn an income outside of poker and play for a hobby (of course still striving to win, but not being upset if you lose).
LOL! Not that it's not possible but not easy for sure. You've got to be the literal king of poker to pull off a job like this.
Again, you won't pull it off because you're sick at poker. You'd pull it off because you had the most lucky run ever. Though I'm not saying it doesn't hurt to be good also.
Agreed! Let's do a little experiment. I'm not even close to a top notch poker player but I'll keep tabs on my progress from 0 to $$$ in the next 4 weeks.
I'll begin with a freeroll and let you know where I am based on the money I make starting at the freeroll. I'll be reporting periodically with my progress. How does that sound?
If you have access to pokerstars or full tilt it is possible. LOL
