Pro players mix poker with slot machine?

Do professional poker players really mix or alternate poker with online slot machines?

I have seen several publications via social networks where they post Slot's plays winning the odd prize or is it some kind of publicity stunt of the Rooms to call players to the casino?

Poker players are humans on a journey and even the best tend to have leaks.

I believe that professional poker players will play machines just for fun, because you shouldn't expect big winnings there; it all depends on luck and the machine itself, in other words, a lottery, since poker is work and skill!

as the machine is just for fun, it is a game of luck it is not something that you will get an expected return

When you want to clear your head, sometimes I go in to play casino, or I can also read a book or listen to music. our mind needs a break sometimes.

Not sure, never thought about it. Lot talk about sport betting, but never have heard anything about slots. For me, not interested in those type of games. That would go for both on-line and live.

If you are pro poker player you should always try to play in games where you have edge and everybody knows that in slots the casino has edge so i don't see any logical reason to play slots. Maybe just for fun knowing that you will loose some money but without that bothering you.

All people are different, a professional player or not, if there is an attraction to have fun on the machines, then anyone can do it

Your thinking is correct, it is most likely a publicity stunt when players post big wins from casino games. (Notice how they only post the wins and don't share clips from all the times they lose...)

Since most poker players understand math, odds, and what makes a good bet... they know that slot machines are a waste of time, money, and will most likely lead to them slowly but surely losing.

Short answer... no, I don't think pro poker players mix with slot machines. The only times in my career I've run into people who did play slots was if the casino gave them a free voucher. Then they would quickly go bet the mix (to invest as little time as possible) and cashout whatever they won or say "good riddance and thanks for the freeroll" if they lost

If anyone is to mix poker with slot machines, those won't be pro players Unless they are streaming and want to add some entertainment (but still it applies rather to those without large following. As pros with the large audience are inclined to deliver certain message with streaming, they are not just streaming for the sole entertainment, imho. And slot machines don't seem to be in line with that message).

Nothing wrong with a bit of fun. I guess their promoting as well.

Because in Poker, the player controls the game, 80% percent, in slot machines there is no, in slot machines that will fall out, then it will fall out. Or controls, but weakly. Well, yeah. Poker pros are notorious for having a gambling fetish running alongside their poker addiction. Matisow, Negranu, Helmuth, they all have won and lost big on sports gambling for example.

I don't really get the appeal. I like to play poker due to the fact it is NOT gambling. I always find it funny that people think it is a game of luck. Obvs, each pair of hole cards are (supposed to be) random...but playing the long game, with good strat is certainly not the same thing as gambling. Slots though, it is just a bit o luck with poor odds.

If you enjoy it, don't let me spoil your fun. But I'd suggest you have a better future gambling on the stock market than winning playing the slots.

I do not think that real professional players play slots if they are doing it most likely for a marketing ploy. Well, as a last resort, they can allocate a separate amount for entertainment.

I dont think so, professional poker players play poker all the time, they know that slots are waste of time and money, they have a lot of discipline on their bankrolls.

I think either these poker players are just playing recreationally, or there are being sponsored to play slots. If they make a big deal about the slots, then it is probably the latter. slot machines are mathematically impossible to win at, so they certainly aren't paying their mortgage directly from slot winnings.

I would imagine Poker players would be the least likely people to play roullete or slot machines, since they spend all day calculating EV... Although maybe it's just nice to give your brain a break!
