I've got a question for anyone who can answer. There is a poker club in Columbus Ohio that I have read about and heard about on other sites and from a customer of mine, and was wondering if anyone knows where it is. I know the general area but when I looked for it, I couldn't find it. Maybe its not there anymore, but if anyone knows anything about it, I'd sure like to know. Thanks!

You're probably referring to the Gemini Players Club, I don't really know anything about it though. The whole idea sounds kind of sketchy to me though as card rooms are illegal in Ohio. Ohio actually has incredibly strict rules on "games of chance". There is a company called Cbus Poker that regularly (3-4 days a week) runs "charitable" games at local VFW's, AMVETS & such. Their games are legally totally legit acording to the Ohio charitable gaming laws, so I've always felt a little better about going to those. If you're interested their website is :: Welcome to Vegas Nights, Columbus's Premier Charity Poker Events:: it's got listings of where they'll be on any given week & the cash games & tourneys offered. I don't make it out to them as often as I'd like but they're always a good time; free food, soda & bottled water for players too. I know there are a few other cc members from Columbus around, maybe we could get a cc game together some time.

Thanks "mp". Gemini club was the name of the place I was looking for. I heard there was some loophole cause it was a club that you had to have a yearly membership for. Never know... maybe that was BS and they got raided, lol. I have played in 2 of the Cbus tourneys, the only thing I didnt really like about it was that they cram as many people into a table as possible. One table I was at had like 12-13 people, and it's hard to study your opponents when you cant see half of their faces cause you're staring at the back of their heads, cause you got 4 guys sharing 3 feet of table space. I did make the final table at the first one I was at but not top 3 which I think is what usually pays. I still plan on playing there more, just as long as I'm not broke.lol

I've only ever played in the cash games at Cbus (3/6 limit mainly), those are pretty good. I was going to enter one of their $50 tourneys once, but not enough people showed to play it so I just went back to ring (ended up winning about $200 too, so I wasn't very sad about the tourney, lol). I know at the cash tables they tend to keep it to 9-10 players. 12-13 at one table is just way too many, they must have been short dealers or something.
