Who is this guy Peat? Guy La Liberte seems bored playing so cheap-for him.

RE:

Haha, I'm practically nocturnal so I watched that last night too.

Hellmuth was pissed, like usual. I think they said first to go bust in the cash game lol.

I wish they had cash games on TV more often, might help me learn some things.

Dwan is lookin really sharp on his game. Even if he looses a few pots here and there due to his aggression, he'll still make it up through blinds and the hands that he does win without a problem.

I especially loved today's episode where he made that move on Allen, great job by him, hope he wins....even though he looks like the Gay, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.

Its unfortunate that they failed to put entertaining people on. Allen Cunningham may be one hell of a player, but hes boring to watch, as is laliberte (sp?), dwan is hardly the life of the party, and i never heard of the 2 other guys not including Phil.

If your going to put on a 6max cash game, they need to invite the aggressive entertaining top pros such as matusow, hansen, negreanu etc etc

Chris ferguson, Doyle and Annie are boring though

I'd want to see

Antonius
Ivey
Gus
Hellmuth
Matusow
Devilfish

That table would have monster pots built preflop with junk cards

In 5 years we'll see ChuckTs and Zach at this table. I'll be running NBC and FullTilt by then so I will not be eligible to participate.

Yep, heard comments that this is the softest table him and Dwan have sat at in quite a while. Cunningham's the only real other great player.

Also Hellmuth whining about a bad beat after checking TPTK on the flop and turn cracked me up lol. Hellmuth's just a dick, and I hope he continues to bust again and again and again.

Well personally I enjoyed it. I'm watching it for the poker value, not the entertainment value (well I consider good poker play entertaining in and of itself). Especially for Durr, I'd think about what I'd do in his situation, and then see what he did. A lot of the times he'd do what I was thinking and sometimes he'd show why he's made millions and I'm still at the midstakes online.

I don't particularly care about the side conversations, and sometimes I wish Phil would just shut the hell up and play poker instead of berating others when clearly he's the biggest fish there.

i love the way Durr talks down to Phil

it all started in that heads up thing on NBC

Phil just keeps telling the kid he wont be around....Phil is such a dick

this is actually a really entertaining table i think...not so much with the table talk but with the actual play

+1, still don't understand how he won the bracelets. I mean I guess the man's decent when everyone has 30 big blinds behind and a preflop raise commits you to the pot. I forget what it was, but he criticizes Durr for playing some "trash hand" (suited connectors?) in a 3-bet pot when they're sitting with 600+ big blinds.

His is a survival-oriented style of play that's tailored to tournaments - it still works to this day, just look at his Main Event finish.

I suspect he would've made a few more final tables this year too, if he hadn't gone on what appears to have been an ego-driven "I wanna win a non-hold 'em bracelet" crusade. I mean kudos on making the $1500 HORSE final table, but WTF was he doing in that tournament in the first place?!? Let alone the $50K HORSE.

I've only seen a very limited amount of his play in cash games (HSP, basically) but it seems he's got it all kinds of wrong against the serious cash players.

Still, it's the blowups that keep him in the public eye, and it's being in the public eye that makes him endorsement money, so...

They started up the win a hand w/ 72 collect 1K from everyone at the table bet. I used to watch PAD religiously until they began showing reruns about a month or two ago. Glad to see the new season has started though.

Aye, now that ive watched the first 2 episodes through, it is pretty good entertainment wise. Seems like Dwan and guy with purple hair are actually pretty entertaining to watch purely for their poker game.

I'm not sure why Hellmuth's cash game is so mediocre. It seems to me that he doesn't play cash games very often, in favor of big tournaments.

Still, one would think that he should be capable of switching from the trappy style to a style that gets more value out of decent players. Maybe he doesn't on purpose, who knows.
He even said to Howard Lederer on PAD once that he won his first couple of bracelets by playing a standard TAG style and that he switched to the trappy style quite a ways into his career.

I laughed my arse off at Ali's "Uh-oh" after Phil flopped set under set. Classic.

Whoever said Guy is boring is out of their mind. He's by far the most interesting player at the table. He frequently goes balls out because he doesn't care about the money. He's the anti-Buss.

By the way, am I the only one who finds Dwan more annoying than any other player in the game? Even when he's not saying anything annoying, the sound of his voice just makes me want introduce his face to the back of his skull. It's like nails on a chalkboard. He needs to take a tip from Chris Ferguson and keep it silent.
