Someone that is good with odds, what are the odds of one player being delt AA and another KK in the same hand. It seems like I see this alot and today it's really getting to me. I've had KK three times and I've ran into AA all three times on two different sites, in the last two hours!!!

In no way am I saying it's rigged, I really just wanted to vent.

You know, I've seen that a lot too, however it seems in my experience KK has won an awful lot of those showdowns. I know AA has the odds in favor, but this is poker!:)

It depends on table size, but at a full table, roughly 1 out of every 24 times that you have KK, you will be up against AA. That doesnt mean every 24 hands someone will have AA vs KK, but rather if someone gets KK, theres a 4% chance hes up against AA.

Overall though, this KK vs AA scenario will happen about 0.018 % of all hands that are played, or one in ever 5304 hands dealt at a full table.

The fact that it keeps happening to you is bad luck.

I saw an all in between 3 players in a sit & go, AA x KK x KK and KK worse than one of which led, eventually making it Flush, fell 4 cards of the same color on the table.

When opening the letters seemed certain was that the victory of AA but until the river changed everything!

Part is the game!

Behrens900 nailed it 1 out of 24 times. But, past performance is not indicitive of future results. Just remember no matter how bad your luck has been or how many times a certain event has happened to you, the next time you have K K, the odds are the same.

thats y i try my hardest to avoid going all in preflop. I'll call any raise and wait til the flop to make sure there is no ace. id rather lose to someone tripping up on the flop then have no chance to avoid an ace. given there is still the turn and river, but thats just how i play kings.

idk know exactly the odds, but thats weird, i mean just hitting aces its difficult imagine aces and kings together... i saw it few times... however the odds should be 1 in 200?? maybe 1 in 250.....

At a 9/10 handed table if you have KK there is a 1 in 25ish chance an opponent has AA

It is not as long a shot as you might logically think

:deal: Yeah I see it alot. Since I've went back to work I play 6 hrs give or take on Sun.-Thur. Seems as though most % I see have it a bit high. Call it bad beats or just dumb luck I run in to it more than I would prefer, LOL.

I had this spot earlier today and quite a lot in the past. If you are using proper BRM, you should be able to take the beat (or win it 1 out of 5 times ;)) and move on. Definitely frustrating, but nothing to get worked up about.
