Are many poker players using calculators when they play online tournaments? How are some players doing so well and advancing all the time? Is there any tool they're using that many are unaware of?

Thanks...

I usually have several tables going at once. Between keeping up with them and unwrapping my Hersheys Kisses, I couldn't possible try to use a calculator,,,:D

I would say your most valuable tool is just playing the odds and watching the people. Watch when they bet, how much they bet, how long they wait to make a move, etc. Some people will obviously be using calculators and things of that nature, but that should not affect your play overall.

I have a robotic Phil Ivey I bought off E-Bay for $150.00. It's a bit pricey but pays for itself in the long run. You just plug him in and he looks over your shoulder as you play. He'll simply say "Bet" "Fold" and every once in a while he'll say "Call". I haven't become any better of a player on my own but at least I found a quick and easy shortcut to equalize the years of skill and wisdom my opponents have over me.

I got a poker tutor. LOL. No Seriously. There are people out there that have software that can help them advance to next rounds. I think if you need to use software to cheat at poker and are that hard up to make money off a Freeroll then you shouldn't be playing poker. But that is only my opinion. I don't use the calculators and I don't use any other software while I play. Only because I do win money in the tournies and don't want to risk having my funds frozen or lose the ability to play because the site doesn't agree with the software I'm using.
Everyone is going to come across a donk here or there. And everyone is going to get their share of bad beats. But I do watch other players when the site allows. The ones that I see advance all the time. And look to see how the style of play is compared to mine. Some of them use the going allin more than others and some just know when the can bet big and when they can't. I dont know if they use any software but am sure the ones that advance more thans others is because they have more experience in online poker than the rest of us. I have only been online for about 2 yrs now and still amazed at some of the crap I see. But thats poker, it's gambling and if everyone played by the book then it really would be a game.

Mine seems to be stuck since he keeps saying "all-in... all-in... all-in" all the time.
