3/4 means what?3 to 4 hours a day?How can you play 16 tables at the same time? How many screens do you have? How big are they?

Yes, 3 or 4 hours a day. At first you shouldnt play more than 4 tables at once. I used to play few tables but increased it to 16 even 20 tables. But first you need to play the right game at 4 tables, also you need to know abc poker. I make decision up to 4-5 secs. I think everybody can play 16 tables but not everybody can play em the right way. Im playing tile tables almost table under table. Thats how it is, but it works for me.

Also theres the big question... Can you mind and body handle playing for long periods of time?... I know it takes its toll on me when I have a wife +2 kids... Work and come home grind for an hr... Spend time with family chores... Most nights i'll play the 10fpp or those 15min 30min $1.10 and $3.30... I avg around 20,000 hands per month with cash. not including the MTTs

It's taken a lot of time to mentally handle the amount.... Plus your mental exhaustion of your goal if your not careful

do you know about the coimbra challenge?
it was from 100$ to 100k$

He got 20k in two months,... now he is in the 20k mark the past three or four months...
at first i got really excited because of his numbers,... but when a REAL PRO just got stuck and losing a bit all the time, i got a little frustrated as well, i think that's why i kinda realized this wasn't that easy anyways,... you gotta live well before you go PRO

Ridiculous.

Might be acceptable at 2+2, but at cardschat it is better to provide some justification and reasoned responses instead of unsupported, unhelpful, completely useless or ridiculous single word posts.

Whether your views are right or wrong, if a supporting argument is provided it can then be discussed by cardschat members in a helpful way for you and other readers.

How many display screens do you use when you playing 16 tables at the same time? What is the size of these display screen?

Depends on your ROI at a given level and how much time you have to dedicate to playing. That being said, I think it would be wiser to figure what the highest level you can play at and win consistently. Play at that level until you have the bankroll to move up.

Playing MTTs yo will not win 2000 every month, you may go for many months without any significant wins

I know how it feels . Dont go for it if you want to make something big like that .
Better play at Sit n go , 10 palyers 50 50 , Half of the plyers get paid double the amount . SO safe , just dont risk . Hope this helps .
Get into 100 /200 bets , so that if u win u get 200 or 400 . And playin 10 games and winning around 6-8 , will make you reach ur goal .
Good luck

Sweet thread -- w/ good replies to the OP and other insights I found useful... I agree that a lot of offline study ( of your game, strategy, math, technique, etc) is needed before you can look at making any "real money."

Also, going to search out those interviews next!

You can just go into the tournament with a buy-in $ 2-3, to win the first place, depending on how you're still playing. The prize is not bad in the first place from $1000, and more ...

Oh,thank a lot to all friends replying and giving me advice.I think that there may be some mistakes in my words.May be I ought to say wining 12000 dollar every year,if so,is it also a hefty goal? From the anwsers above,I have a impression that wining this figure of money is very difficult.Second,I also have a impression that cash game can make great money. These two impressions discourage me of playing poker.I have a job and can make more money than 2k a month. And I love playing poker, hoping one day playing poker for living. So,if I cant make at least that much money,2k a month or 12k a year,I ought to go on my job and give up poker right now.Are there still any hope for me to playing poker for living? And,I am playing tounament more than cash game, does that mean I am going on the wrong direction?

First impression - you're right everything today in online poker is difficult.
Second impression - you're damn right the biggest cash can comes with the cash games.
My advice Patience Patience and Patience .

I cannot see it being done unless you are grinding the cash tables. MTT wins are sorta few and far between at times. best of luck.

If youre planning to win 2000/month, you must have at least 10000 bankroll to cover those swings.

The best you can do is concentrate on tournaments input to 10us to 27us and take your Bank about 500 dollars so you can win on any tournaments and give the best of, but the variance is much higher mtt so Lucky!

if I want to win 2000

May I offer a backup plan ,keep working your way into big tourneys through sattelites .Find a level in cash games were your consistently profitable so you can fund the sattelites .Keep grinding until you make a big cash take that an invest it in a bussiness,or investment like paying of house or whatever.

Lets calculate sir. $2000/30 = 66.67.
-> you have to win $66.67/day on average.
66.67/6 = $11.11/hr
->you shld be winning $11.11/hr on average.

Lets assure youre rich and no problem with BR. Your asking what tournament buyin (not sng), I think the very least is $5, at most is $22.

I recommend you play tournaments with low buy-in but for many players, so if you catch one you'll be earning a good well.
Example: you play the $ 2.5K
Do you like S & G as toys $ 2.50 180 players which guarantees more than $ 123 for the first place.
Imagine playing 10 of these S & G $ 2.50 per day and at least win 1 per day, then your investment is $ 2.50 x 10 = $ 25 and if we imagine that only won one tournament, then your profit is, Award winning one tournament $ 123.31 - investment $ 25 =
Toral gain in 30 days: $ 98.31 x 30 = $ 2949.30 :)
what you think.
