Hey guys I have just started FTP and won 5 dollars in a FR yesterday. I then played a couple 2dollars plus .15 Heads up game. And won 3/4. Should I keep on doing this, or do something else? Thanks!

Keep playing freerolls and get it a lot higher before taking it to the tables

I would play micro SNG's. $1 is the lowest at FT I believe. You can try the Matrix games as well. These teach patience, patience, and more patience. If your comfortable enough with your game to play HU. You shouldn't have any problem winning at these.

Yea like they said. Keep trying in the freerolls. If you get anxious I would recomend a 6 person sng or a HU lowest stake. Good luck. But keep going for the free roll way.

The rake is ridiculous at $1 SNGs at Full Tilt.

I'd probably just play the $2 HU sngs until you either go busto or build somewhat of a roll. Playing $1 SnGs or ring games with the ridiculous rake that FT charges just isn't going to work with $8. Ultimately, if you go broke with $8 you shouldn't feel bad coz starting a BR from that is incredibly difficult (tho i started everything from $15...but i wouldn't have that patience ever again and i was playing at a site with reasonable rake and 50c SnGs available...+ throw in some bad roll managment and a bit of luck early on).

Play the .10 rebuy at 5:30, but never rebuy. It's just like one of the 2700 person freerolls except instead of $15 for the win it's usually north of $300 and 153 places paid instead of 27. You'll need to cash every 18 times or so to break even.

$8.72 isn't much of a BR---so if it ain't broke, why fix it??:p

with $8.72 i mean what can you really do? do not play any more 2 dollar heads up or you will be broke in no time. really you should just save it and play more freerolls but if you really want to play i reccomend playing 1 dollar sngs but leave yourself 5 dollars. play 2 1 dollar sngs (not the turbos) and if you win or place in the money keep going but if you hit 5 put on the brakes and keep it. trust me.

The only difference between playing $2 S&G's with an $8.72 roll and grinding out freerolls wins until you have a bigger bankroll to play the same $2 S&G's is that the latter is guaranteed to take a lot longer.

I mean, the options are:
1) Spend months building a bankroll that can withstand variance in the micro stakes games. Then play the micro S&G's and grind it out until you have a roll big enough to move up.

2) Play with your freeroll winnings immediately. If you lose, you're back to the freerolls (just like in option #1). If you win, you play the S&G's and grind it out until you have a roll big enough to move up (skipping the months of frustrating freeroll games).

Yeah play in the $1 sng, all it takes is 1 bad beat in a ring game and you could lose your whole roll.

I took my $20.00 winnings from the tourny I took 2nd in and went to the 25NL games. I'm up to about $80ish and the I get cracked with AA. It happens and you don't wanna build it all up to get taken down in one shot... only reason I didn't slow roll it in lower limits is b/c I can't stand it. I play $100-$300 NL live cash games twice a week and $10 NL games seem silly to me. /shrug--still fun...

Just don't go to the high limits unless your up to risking it all on one or two hands.

If you can fold when in doubt i have had a lot of success taking my 2$ in freeroll winnings and turning it into 20$ at the .05 .10 cent tables playing for about an hour a night and always leaving the table when hands or flops are not going my way.

Hey guys... Thanks for all the replies.... I keep on doing heads up for 2.15$... I got to 15.22... then back to 8... and then played like a madman and I have 20 dollars now. I am way too impatient with losing in all these freerolls, and I am a decent 1v1 player... Thanks for the help guys!

play some turneys and win some more money before you go on the tables, raise it up to about $30 and then go on the tables. I would suggest you go play that $3 knockout turney because if you don't get to the money you can still win some by knocking people out.

Theres no fees in the Ferguson that runs everynight and it has a deep pay scale for a 1$. 8 tries at that should be enough to get your bankroll up enough to give you more options. Sit n go fee is the same for the 1.25 and 2.25 level so dont see why anyone would ever play the 1$ ones consistently.

yeah stick to freerolls to keep building, after all, there is no risk there, but if you find that the $2 HU sit n goes are your game, stick at them, tbh, they are probably the softest real $$ game on full tilt,

good luck with it

I'd stick with the freerolls too until you build up you bankroll a bit. I'm doing this at a number of sites and at one siteit built to over $200.00, but got a little greedy, conceded, thought I knew what I was doing, and am now back down to less than $50.00. Have patience and good luck.
