I have decided to learn how to play online NLHE cash games because previously I have had problems beating them, being a marginal looser / breakeven.

Today I recieved a cashout restricted bonus of total 60 dollars in my partypoker account and also 340 dollars in bonuses that can be released.

I will start at 10nl with 63 dollars which is a bit risky and I know that I can loose the bonuses and am not too worried about it. I have calculated that to release all the bonuses I will need to accumulate 2400 partypoints of which 1440 need to be accumulated within 30 days. Since with 4 tables I get around 12 points per hour, that will mean about 120 hours of play in the next month equaling a average of 4 hours per day.

I will in addition to playing a lot of poker try to watch some videos in order to play better, I am looking forward to hearing suggestions on articles and videos that will help my game.

Also I will try to post some of the most interesting hands and some tracking of how I am getting along.

Learn how to manage your bankroll first.... Shit happens, if it happens 6 times in a row thats really bad luck, but if you also arent a master of the game, you could be sitting on the sidelines before you know it lamenting your losses.

At NL 10, you can win consistently just by playing tight solid poker. It's not exciting, but it is profitable, and isn't subject to as much variance as playing looser. Basically, people will give you their money reasonably often when you have strong hands by playing modest holdings too strongly, bluffing into you, etc. They'll suck out once in a while, but if you break even more or less on the smaller pots you play and win the majority of the large ones, you'll be a nice winner overall.

Get away from the FRs if you have the BR.

You are better off to get away from the freerolls if you can.

I only play the Freeroll to be a part of the Community. But, dont take them serously. But, play hard at them to be fair to the other players. Just not the stress of winning there. Just for fun.

I am glad to hear the PokerStar us take E-checks again. And, are paying out.

I like PS best of all the sites.

Once had about $200.00 BR there, but lost it all except about $4.00. But, trying to build my BR back up.

Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Ok, I had a try of the lowest seven card stud games (.5/1). These seem very fishy and I did make 3 dollars in about half an hour.

I was up at the best time close to 20 dollars. However, in the end I donked off some of the dollars cause for some reason I tried to raise a fish off two pair with 3 flush cards showing on the river. Also I ran into full houses twice with a good flush so I did make up for a few big losses with some solid play,

Anyways at 66 dollars now and its time for a dinner break, so far earned 7 points of the total - only 1393 to earn in 30 days :)

As I said in the original post, I am okay with it, since the money is a bonus that is given to me by partypoker and really I only loose 2 dollars if I loose all the money.

I guess the upside is really bigger here than the downside since I have very little to loose, but hopefully will learn to play and make a lot of money at the same time.

Mange, I have no idea what you mean...

I played my first hour session of NHLE and it was a very bad start. I didn't play that well and ran downhill loosing almost 3 BINs and I'm down to $38,19. Time to take a break and then try to work some of that cash back in 7-card stud.

I am not very motivated in playing cash games now, I think I might be better off playing some tournaments like trying to qualify for the 300k. I am not sure what the problem with my online cash game is since I would consider myself a profitable offline cash player.

Welcome back, it's been a while.

Anyway my guess is that if you've played mostly in casinos you're just not used to the aggression of online play. You're likely playing weak-tight or loose-passive. Search for ChuckTs 10K post on beating micro stakes online.

I think it might be the exact opposite that in the casino I can wait for hands, but online I play too aggressive.

Not too sure if I should spend any more of the money on NLHE cash games when I can try to use it to make some money in SNGs/MTTs and 7-card cash games...

Also I think that part of the problem was that I jumped into playing four tables after a long time of playing a max of 2 tables.

You dont need to take that 63 dollars as a big plan.Just for a pleasure.Still,in my opinion,I prefer start from 1nl.And,to my knowledge, there are more players who earn money from playing tourneys that cash games.

Ok, I have decided to use the remaining dollars for some satellites into bigger tournaments such as the 300k and 1 mil guarantees. This is because at the moment I am having some problems with my cash game, but my tournament game atm is really good.

I will play some 7-card cash games on my other account at CDPoker as there is some cash to be made in those games, but I will probably not play NLHE cash games till I move to a city where I can get some live action.
