Completely agree with you. When there is money, there can not be friendship. When i register for a tournament i always think what will i do with the top prize. If you don`t believe you can win - you can not win.

I enjoy playing with friends, but I enjoy it more when I win.

na to rash 4 me. Fact no1 wins every game i prefer to just look at my own performance wish ppl luck and try to play smart. Thinkin or havin the attitude of i,m gonnae win every game i play is useless cse it breads disrespect for your compition and leaves you a bit anoyed when you don,t lol.

I'm not , at the table all my friends, I love to talk between hands if it is offline, if online as well answer the questions, it gives an aura, with the players that treat you like a friend, much easier to play. And so the total concentration, only play in the first place, but were friendly conversation . It is a matter of psychology...

i really don't like that aproach especially here at forum...if we talk about forum i really consider other members as my colleagues and friends because we are all part of CC comunity. And that's what i like most about cardschat...Other poker forums just cannot compare with CC...But when i play MTTs or sngos i always try to win but having some fun is my priority

Of course, everybody is playing for the win a nobody gonna give you anything back. There's no reason to think any other way . Even when I play with friends I usually just set aside any empathy.. It's poker.

Every successful person has the killer instinct! If you don't think this way I think you set a limit on yourself and stop yourself from being the greatest.

When you play with your friends,just take poker as a game of frendship.When you want make money from poker,than just take it as a sport competition.

That depends entirely on whether I'm playing with friends or not

And while I might think that way outside of games with actual friends, I don't think I'd ever act that way towards them. In most situations I've found it's best to keep it friendly, at least on the outside, to keep the fish at the table.

Tourneys are like Highlander- There can be only one. :fight: (or three if it's a triple-up SnG, lol)

In live cash games, I've always appreciated the rare time when someone cuts me a break, supposedly because we have developed a good rapport.

Poker is interesting like that. It should always be war, but sometimes the enemy shows inexplicable mercy. :shakehand Sometimes it literally pays to be friendly at the table.

online poker and casinos, yes. In home games, even though you think like this, you should NEVER display this. Trick is to make others think you're there for fun.

If you aint in it to win it, fine. But most ppl are. Still, if it is a live game, you can be there to crush w/o having to be rude or unfriendly.

Tommy Angelo has spoken about his, and he seems to have 2 modes in a game. Mode 1 "I am in a hand" Mode 2 "I am not in a hand". And when he is in mode 2, he still respects the mode 1 of the table. But he will chat about music, w/e, with other players while not involved in a hand.

Put a different way, when you are in a hand, play your best, dont give any info while trying to get as much info as you can. When you are not in a hand, respect the other players who are, other than that, make your presence at the table pleasant and friendly.

IMO, trying to "out-psyche" the other players (by trying to tilt them with trash agro talk. or being a dick or w/e) is just live FPS in most cases, and most players who do this give away as much or more than they gain.

It's motivational to think like that and gives you the extra confidence to try and take the big prize but I don't think like that. Maybe I should start think like that, I usually think something like ,I wonder how skilled these players are would it be an easy or hard challenge for the win.

My version is if I am playing with friends (not irl as my friends are miserable gits and don't play ) I obviously would love to TID but if I fail I would love one of my friends on here to TID. I have met some very nice people on here.

If I am playing a bunch of randoms, then I want to be the one that takes all their chips

When the game is over we will burn one and have a drink and be chummy.

One day I might teach my son the game, but if he decides to sit at a table with me, no friends, I will take his money and chips too lol. I might chop up at the end but while at the table, I'm taking chips from anyone sitting.

At the final table Online poker or Live Poker with family or friends is every man for itself.
The rush of the win takes over, family ties and friendship are "ruined"

I have a tendency regardless of who to want to take all the chips. I have done that to some friends and they did not seem to like it.
